Dear Beth Ann,

I just heard great news from our team in Washington, DC!

Over the past month, we've asked for your help to ensure that stop-lossedtroops receive back payment for their service. Thousands of you called yourrepresentatives in Congress and asked your friends and family to stand withIAVA to pass this important legislation.

Thanks to your efforts, President Obama signed the bill into law just afew minutes ago.

For the last eight years, more than 170,000 troops have been forced topostpone their retirements, education plans, or family dreams as a result ofstop-loss. Finally, these troops will be compensated for their overtime.Because of your help, we can begin paying our debt to these brave men andwomen.

Also included is the promise of a bright future for Gold Star children. Thanks to you, we have ensured that all children of fallen heroes can attendcollege with benefits from the new Post-9/11 GI Bill. For those who gave theultimate sacrifice, the very least a grateful nation can do is provide fortheir children's education.

Doyou know someone impacted by either of these new benefits? Click here to send aquick note to let them know there is money on the way. Thousands of veteransand families across the country will be affected, and we need your help to makesure they hear the good news.

This is a long-awaited victory. Thanks to your dedication, Congress and thePresident have listened to IAVA, and taken a big step forward in honoring thesacrifices of America's troops and veterans.

We couldn't have done it without you.

Thank you,

Paul
