Blue Star Families and K.I.D.S - Books on Bases, Smiles on Faces Literacy Program for Military Children
The Home Sweet Home Campaign Salutes - Blue Star Families and their newest program: Books on Bases, Smiles on Faces.
Blue Star Families, along with program partner K.I.D.S in Distress will be launching their newest program Books on Bases, Smiles on Faces. This program is turning a few heads in North Carolina and the military community. With the help of North Carolina's Governor, Bevery Perdue, they will be donating more than 4,000 children's books to 37 DODEA and military impacted schools on September 10th, at WT Brown Elementary school in Fayetteville NC.
This state wide program is just the beginning of this literacy program. Blue Star Families will be visiting other DODEA and military communities around the country with more books and smiles. Stay tuned for where they will be going next...
